Asian Longhorn Beetle

This serious pest was confirmed in the Uk at a site near Paddock Wood, Kent in early 2012.
It is a large slow moving beetle that bores into live wood, leaving large holes that seriously damage the tree, allowing other pests and diseases an easy entry into the tree.
